My experience has led me to conclude that the only way to test whether students REALLY understand the subjects (instead of simply memorize or superifically understand them) is through a T/F test. Morever, because students know this, they must study in  DIFFERENT WAY, ceasing to memorize and attempting to really understand the subjects.

However, in the second test, there will be a small change. In the most difficult questions, you will have 5 lines to explain why you agree or not with the assertion. The advantages are that (i) there will be no discount for a wrong answer and that (ii) nobody will get points just because of luck.

I am usually available on Fridays at 5 pm, but we can arrange another time that is more convenient to you.

Then in the recourse phase they will answer only the questions about the 1st part of the course.

Check whether you agree with my solutions to all of the questions.

In case you don´t agree with one or more, write your justification in at most 5 lines per question, and hand it to me at the end of the next lecture.

It is possible that you have thought about something that escaped to me. In that case, I may reconsider your grade.

Monday, 20th Ap. 19h30-20h

Wednesday, 22th Ap. 19h30-20h

The grades were not good.

To my surprise, I learned that you had another mid-term test the past Thursday. Why didn't you ask me to postpone our test? (I make a great effort to do this mid-term test, so that you have time to study. Hence, it did not make sense to make it after the other test). 

This may explain the grades. Another possible explanation is that the test was too difficult.

Since "in dubio pro reo", I may raise the maximum bonus up to 4 (if the grades of the second test are like those of this first one).
