Objectivos

This course aims to complement and deepen the knowledge transmitted in the first semester by UC Research Methods in Development Studies (MIED).
Under the guidance of their tutors, doctoral students may attend course units in methodologies offered by the four Schools during the second semester or receive specific tutorial guidance on research methods.

Programa

The syllabus is defined according to the student's specific learning needs in terms of the technical research methodologies offered by the 4 UL Schools.

Metodologia de avaliação

If the doctoral candidate chooses to attend a methods UC, the evaluation will be the responsibility of the lecturer of that discipline. If the student is taught in a tutorial, the evaluation is the responsibility of the respective tutor. If the student does not need additional skills in methods, the evaluation, based on a detailed methodological proposal, is the responsibility of the tutor. The performance of doctoral students is subject to evaluation at the end of the semester.
