Breve introdução

(ENGLISH)
An introduction will be given to different ways of approaching, representing and analysing a society´s activity through the use of specific socio-economic applications.
Different forms of making a quantitative representation of a society´s activity will be presented, and a distinction will be drawn between the «measured» and the «measurable».
A presentation will be made of the approach based on the use of the Social Accounting Matrix as a specific working tool that is capable of quantifying a society´s activity with greater or lesser degrees of simplification.
Aggregates, indicators and balances will be identified and indications will be given as to how these can be studied and interpreted.
Aspects will be identified that, until now, have not previously been measured and/or are not usually considered in the study of a society´s activity.

A abordagem, representação e análise da actividade da sociedade serão introduzidas mediante a execução de aplicações.
A representação quantitativa da actividade da sociedade será apresentada e introduzir-se-á a distinção entre o que é «medido» e o que é «mensurável».
A abordagem baseada na Matriz de Contabilidade Social será introduzida como um instrumento de trabalho específico, capaz de quantificar, de forma mais ou menos simplificada, a actividade da sociedade.
Identificar-se-ão agregados, indicadores e balanços/saldos e mostrar-se-á de que forma poderão ser trabalhados e lidos.
Identificar-se-ão aspectos que, até aqui, não têm sido medidos e/ou não têm sido (usualmente) considerados no estudo da actividade da sociedade.
