Investigação

    • Research areas: international trade and investment, trade policy, Portuguese and European economies, economic history.
    • Referee for journals, namely for The Economics of Transition, Economic and Social Review, Global Business & Economics Review, Notas Económicas, Revista de História Económica e Social, Estudos de Economia, and also for Festschrift in honour of Mathew Tharakan (ed. by Calfat, G., Flôres, R.and Greenaway, D.).
    • Invited Professor at the University of Orléans in 1994/1995, 1998/1999 and 2001/2002, teaching courses on specific topics of international trade.
    • Direction of four PhD and twenty Master Dissertations in the areas mentioned above; the great majority of them have already been completed.
    • Participation in more than forty academic juries (PhD, Master and Equivalence) at ISEG/UTL and other Portuguese Universities.
    • Twenty different courses have been taught at undergraduate and post-graduate levels (the great majority of them under the responsibility of the Department of Economics-ISEG/UTL), most notably in the field of international economics.
